Sexual Violence Support and Education

含害羞传媒 is committed to creating and maintaining a healthy learning and working environment free of sexual and gender-based violence. The college understands that survivors of sexual and gender-based violence deserve support and to understand the options for resolution available to them under the college鈥檚 Sexual Violence Policy and procedures.

Get Urgent Support

What is Sexual Violence?

Sexual Violence is a broad term encompassing unwanted or unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature; it is sometimes referred to as Sexual Misconduct. This includes sexual violence and any sexual act that is committed, threatened or attempted against an individual without their consent, regardless of whether the act is physical or psychological in nature.

Sexual Violence is an act wherein power and control are abused in a sexualized manner. The college also understands the critical requirement to ensure supports for individuals and groups facing intersecting forms of oppression (e.g. colonization, racism, classism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.), as they are at greater risk for sexual violence.

You're in control

We believe that a survivor should freely choose the resolution options that make sense to them, and maintain a sense of control of the direction these actions take. We know that every person who experiences sexual violence will choose to access support and engage in healing in a different way.

If you have been impacted by sexual or gender-based violence, know that you have the right to be safe, to have your voice heard, and to be understood and respected.
