Indigenous courses, many taught by Indigenous faculty, centre on Indigenous perspectives and issues. A number of courses provide opportunities for in-community and on-the-land learning and include teachings from Elders and other knowledge keepers.

Electives and individual courses
A number ofIndigenous coursesareopen to all ߴý studentsand transfer as university credits.IST 120 – Understanding Indigenous Peoplesis a course that aims to guide you to a better understanding of the culture, history and experience of Indigenous people in Canada. It’s a great elective or professional development opportunity.
There are also courses with Indigenous content. These courses can be used as ߴý electives or program content and may transfer to other universities.
